48-year-old man found dead in downtown Atlanta Friday, cause unknown

ATLANTA - Atlanta police are investigating the death of a person near Peachtree Street NW and Trinity Avenue SW in downtown Atlanta.

Officers from Zone 5 responded to a report of a deceased person around 9:23 a.m. Feb. 9. Upon arrival, they found a 48-year-old man who had died.

Investigators with the Homicide Unit also responded to the scene.

The cause and manner of death will be determined by autopsy.
