Crews investigate deadly LaGrange house fire
LAGRANGE, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - One person died and another was injured after a house fire in LaGrange early Friday, according to the LaGrange Fire Department.
Investigators told FOX 5 News the fire happened at a home at 313 Cherry St. shortly after 12:30 a.m.
The house had partially collapsed when firefighters arrived. Fire crews said the blaze was under control about two hours later.
A body was found amid the rubble, and another person managed to escape with minor injuries.
The victim was not immediately identified.
The LaGrange Police Department is helping the LaGrange Fire Department with the investigation.
