Concerned Atlanta residents deliver crime petition to state Capitol
ATLANTA - A group of metro Atlanta homeowners who say they are fed up with illegal activity in their community delivered an anti-crime petition to the Georgia state Capitol building on Friday.
The group, Concerned Citizens United, is comprised of about 4,000 members who are demanding that police make a greater impact in crime. The petition details their concerns about murders, robberies, carjackings and illegal motorcycle and dirt bike riders in their community.
The group’s petition is also calling for patrols to be dedicated to high-risk areas like gas stations and for more transparency in how certain crimes are accounted for.
