Comedian Jeff Foxworthy honored as Humanitarian of the Year

ATLANTA - Comedian Jeff Foxworthy was honored for his work with the Atlanta Mission.

The Rotary Club of Buckhead held a lunch in Foxworthy's honor Monday and also to give him the Humanitarian of the Year Award.

The actor has been working with the homeless men at the mission, hosting a Bible study each week for the past eight years.

Foxworthy said his favorite thing about the work he does is the relationships he's made.

The comedian said the Atlanta Mission is so much more than a shelter.

He said the mission works to restore the lives of people who may be down on their luck and help them transform themselves for the better.
