Cobb Police Arrest Teen for Fake 911 Text

Police arrested a teenager Monday for allegedly reporting a false crime.

Ladaisha Gibbons, 17, is charged with false report of a crime, unlawful conduct during a 911 call and disruption of a public school.

Cobb County Police said Gibbons texted the county's 911 center to report a shooting at Sprayberry High School.

Cobb Police, Cobb School Police and Cobb Sheriff's deputies responded to the school and quickly discovered that shooting did not happen.  About an hour later, police tracked down and arrested Gibbons at her home.

Gibbons remains in the Cobb County Jail under $5,000 bond.
