Cobb Co. Officer Accused of Making Racist Remarks

COBB COUNTY, Ga. - A police officer in Cobb County has been reassigned after an encounter with a motorist.

Dashboard camera video captured the traffic stop of motorist Brian Baker, who was pulled over for speeding and failure to maintain a lane. After a testy exchange of words where Baker refused to disclose where he was going, he signed the citations and officer Maurice Dawson sent him on his way.

The Cobb County Police Department said they have no comment on officer Dawson's case, saying it is still an open and active investigation.
