A man is held at gunpoint and robbed in his own driveway as he got home from work. It happened in a quiet neighborhood in Chamblee.

"I got a little scared, i got a little scared," said Partha Bhowmick who had closed up at a gas station on Cleveland Avenue where he works in southwest Atlanta at about 10:30 p.m.

Bhowmick said before heading home he stopped at a Shell Gas Station on Buford Highway and a few minutes later pulled into his driveway near New Peachtree Road.

That is when Bhowmick said a man approached him with a semi-automatic pistol.

"He put the gun on my shoulder, he grabbed me by the back and pulling me," said Bhowmick.

The Chamblee resident said the armed robber wanted to go inside his house, but he would not allow it because his wife and son were there.

"He grabbed on my jacket shoulder and telling me lets go in your home," said Bhowmick. "I don't have money at home," said Bhowmick.

According to the police report, Bhowmick's wife came to the door and the man pointed his gun at her and placed his finger over his mouth informing her to keep quiet.

Bhowmick said because the armed robber kept insisting to go inside his home, he told him about money he had in his car from the gas station. Bhowmick said the crook grabbed it and took off in small maroon car.

Chamblee Police are investigating, but do not have any leads and the surveillance cameras at the Shell gas station were not working properly.

Bhowmick said he is just grateful to be alive and that his family was not hurt.

"Money I can earn it if I lose it somehow," said Bhowmick. "My life I cannot get back."
