Brookhaven officer celebrated as a hero

A Brookhaven police officer is being hailed a hero.

Her quick thinking and fast action helped her save the life of a construction worker who wasn't breathing.

Officer Sarah Miller said she was patrolling the area around the Kroger on Ashford-Dunwoody Road when she heard a loud booming sound.

She went to investigate and found a man who had been shocked on a nearby construction site. The man was not responding.

She coached his co-workers through CPR, as she grabbed her AED, and delivered the life-saving shock.

Officer Miller said the man was transported to a nearby hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
