Boy with incurable condition becomes honorary USCG member
This story of a remarkable little boy with grand aspirations and an irrepressible spirit is sure to make you smile.
Seven-year-old Jack was born with a condition called Osteogenesis Imperfecta, which causes his bones to break for little or no reason.
As yet, there is no cure for his lifelong condition.
But that hasn’t stopped the little boy from dreaming big, says his mom.
Jack loves the Coast Guard. And last week, he was invited to the Curtis Bay station in Baltimore to become the crew’s honorary member, the USCG wrote on Facebook.
The station took Jack out on their 45-foot response boat, and even showered him with official memorabilia from all around the world to document their special day together.
