Bottoms later posted video of an exchange with Jackson outside the National Business League conference. In the short clip, the former Atlanta mayor asked Jackson to keep her family out of his campaign advertising.
"I'm fair game. Please stay away from my family," Bottoms told Jackson.
"I hear you. I appreciate that," Jackson responded.

Bottoms was referring to a Jackson campaign ad criticizing her over taxpayer money that was used to purchase a plane ticket for her husband to attend the Super Bowl while she was Atlanta's mayor.
Bottoms reimbursed the city less than two weeks later and said the purchase had been a mistake.
The encounter came as both candidates stepped up their campaigning across Georgia.

Bottoms made stops in several cities, including Decatur, Atlanta, Rome, Rockmart, Dalton and Ringgold, where she promoted her plans for the state.
Jackson, the founder and CEO of Jackson Healthcare, announced endorsements from 104 sheriffs across Georgia. The endorsements included sheriffs in Forsyth, Cherokee, Coweta, Paulding and Pickens counties.
The campaigning comes as Bottoms and Jackson compete to succeed Gov. Brian Kemp, who cannot seek a third consecutive term.
