Bond denied for Oconee man accused of killing brother-in-law

An Oconee County man who is accused of murdering his brother-in-law faced a judge Friday.

Dan Anglin is charged with killing Chad Ruark and then burying him in a shallow grave near his home. Ruark was shot twice in the head.

A magistrate judge denied Anglin bond. He will remain in jail until his next hearing in Oconee County Superior Court.

Ruark was reported missing on February 23. A massive search this week turned up evidence of his body and led the arrest of Anglin, according to investigators.
