SOUTH FULTON, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A water main break has led to a boil water advisory in South Fulton. Officials said they hope to have the repairs completed by noon Tuesday.
According to the Department of Watershed Management, the water main break occurred on a 30-inch transmission main at Fairburn Road near Cascade Road. Crews worked overnight to install 52-feet of pipe.
Throughout the repairs, customers in Chattahoochee Hills, South Fulton, Union City, Fairburn, and Hapeville will experience very low water pressure.
Officials are asking any residents experiencing the water outages to boil all water before using it for at least a minute. Infants, the elderly, and residents with immune deficiencies need to be cautious.
The advisory will remain in place until officials are cleared to lift it after sampling water from the affected areas.
