Avondale Estates Police Investigate Possible Attempted Abduction
A 56-year-old man has been arrested for attempting to engage in sexually-related animal crimes with an undercover police officer.
AVONDALE ESTATES, Ga. - Police in Avondale Estates are warning parents of a possible stranger danger situation.
It happened Wednesday around 6 p.m. in the 1100 block of Berkeley Road. The young boy told police that a man in an "old silver car" had followed him down the road to his home. The boy said he ran. When he reached his home, he told police that the man got out of the car and followed him up the driveway.
Investigators are treating the incident as a possible abduction attempt.
The man was described as being "not old, but not a teenager." Police said he was about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and word a black shirt.
Police remind resident to call 911 if they see anyone suspicious.
