Atlanta's airport breaks records with number of guns
ATLANTA - New numbers from the Transportation Security Administration reveal a record-setting number of firearms left in carry-on bags in 2017.
A total of 3,957 guns were discovered at airport security checkpoints last year.
And more weapons were found at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International than any other airport.
Atlanta’s airport security confiscated 245 guns, 222 of which were loaded.
