ATLANTA - The Atlanta Police Department is taking extra precautions to make sure the entire city has a fun and safe Fourth of July holiday.
Police will be out patrolling during events like the July Fourth fireworks show and music event at Centennial Olympic Park.
They have prepared for this holiday for a while now.
“We have been working with our law enforcement partners, collaborating to put together plans and strategies to ensure the safety of, not only the spectators, but any participants that we have in an of the events,” said Deputy Chief Timothy Quiller.
Atlanta police say officers will also be highly visible and strategically placed along the Peachtree Road Race course Tuesday morning.
