Atlanta Police hosts Santa Cop event

ATLANTA - Atlanta Police bring holiday cheer to some needy kids.

The International Brotherhood of Police Officers hosted its annual Santa Cop event Wednesday morning.

About 50 children from around Atlanta were paired up with Atlanta Police Department officers for the event.

The officers accompanied the kids on a shopping trip to target where they got to pick out some Christmas gifts for themselves and others.

Wednesday's festivities started at the Hard Rock Cafe where the kids had breakfast with Santa before heading to target.
