Atlanta named 4th best city to get married in 2025

Ready to tie the knot? A new study says there's almost no better place in the United States than Atlanta.

According to a study by personal finance site WalletHub, Atlanta is the fourth best in the nation to get married in 2025.

By the numbers:

WalletHub compared over 180 of the biggest cities in the country accross 26 different factors connected to cost-effectiveness, convenience, and enjoyment.

Here's how Atlanta placed for a few of the things the company looked at. A rank of 1 is the best and anything higher than 91 was above average.

  • 88th – Avg. Wedding Cost
  • 26th – Event Planners per Capita
  • 6th – Bridal Shops per Capita
  • 6th – Flower & Gift Shops per Capita
  • 5th – Venues & Event Spaces per Capita
  • 13th – Musicians & DJs per Capita
  • 13th – Videographers & Photographers per Capita

The only cities that beat the Peach State's biggest city were Orlando, Las Vegas, and Miami. Tampa rounded out the top five.

Couples ready for love should avoid Pearl City, Hawaii, Bridgeport, Connecticut, and Warwick, Rhode Island. Those placed the lowest on the study.

What they're saying:

"When weddings can cost tens of thousands of dollars and prices have only become even more outrageously inflated in recent years, it pays to hold your wedding in a city that’s affordable, both for those paying for the wedding and for guests who will need to make accommodations. Certain cities also make wedding planning easier with an abundance of options for wedding essentials, from florists to videographers to venues. The more options a city has, the more likely you are to receive competitive pricing and to find places that can work with your optimal schedule," WalletHub analyst Chip Lupo said.

Big picture view:

Those who are looking for love are in luck too. A study in 2023 found that Atlanta was the fourth-best city for singles in the country.
