Atlanta Medical Center hosts Donate Life Celebration

ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - The Atlanta Medical Center hosted its annual Donate Life Celebration Tuesday.

Organ and tissue recipients reunited with their donor families at the event.

Richie Steele had and decided to donate his organs 10 months before his untimely death in a 2014 car crash.

His mother says those like her son who donate their organs are doing the right thing because it can save someone's life.

Tuesday the recipient -- Morgan Carr -- who received her son's organs attended the event.

Carr says she's been doing much better since she received the organ.
