It's been almost 14 years since the tragedy of September 11th and as a way to honor the thousands whose lives were claimed in the terrorist attack, firefighters in Atlanta hosted a memorial stair climb.

The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation put on the event Saturday morning at the Westin Peachtree Plaza.

Participants climbed 110 flights of stairs, the same number of floors as the World Trade Center.

The stair climb was limited to only 343 people.

That number represents the number of firefighters who lost their lives that day.
