Atlanta citizens call for more cameras to fight crime
ATLANTA - One police supervisor called it the eye in the sky. It is the latest in camera technology that can deliver a super sharp image right into the 911 center.
Once the feed using fiber optics comes in, a dispatcher can communicate directly with the nearest officer who just may be able to arrive before the criminal can get away.

A city council member launched an effort to bolster what the police department was already doing.
Yolanda Adrean reallocated hundreds of thousands from her council office account to buy additional cameras for her district.
They are up at entrances to subdivisions and also cover shopping centers in the Buckhead community.
Next, Adrean said, she will expand the program to cover middle and high schools.
