Saturday, The Atlanta Braves, WellStar Health System, Kroger and the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer will team up for the 9th annual Atlanta Braves Breast Cancer Awareness Day. The day-long event includes a celebration of survivorship and honoring those who have courageously battled breast cancer.

Survivors are invited to a pregame reception where the Diamond of Hope Awards will be presented by a Braves player, and before the game they will participate in a “walk in the park” on-field ceremony.

Fans attending the October 3 game are encouraged to wear pink, and the first 10,000 fans through the gates will receive a pink foam tomahawk presented by WellStar. Fans can also visit Monument Grove to learn how to unite in the fight against breast cancer and show their support for loved ones by signing the Pink Wall. Stations will be set up inside several gates for fans to fill out a placard that reads “I Go Pink For” in honor of survivors and fighters.
