Arrests Made in Carjacking of Elderly Woman at Senior Living Facility
ATLANTA, Ga. - Three people have been arrested in connection with the carjacking of an elderly woman at a senior living facility in Midtown.
On October 3, the woman was attacked outside Lutheran Towers, located in the 700 block of Juniper Street. Investigators said three male suspects demanded her vehicle at gunpoint, took her car and then fled the scene.
The suspects have been identified as Dominique Jackson, Malik Rollins and a juvenile. Investigators think they traveled from Tennessee to Atlanta to "engage in criminal conduct." Atlanta Police said they traveled to Chattanooga after the carjacking, which is where the victim's vehicle was located.
All three suspected have been charged with hijacking of a motor vehicle, aggravated assault and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. They are awaiting extradition from Tennessee to Georgia.
Police said they are working to determine if the suspects are responsible for other crimes.
