Police have made an arrest in the shooting of a Clark Atlanta student in September.

Gabrielle Burnett is accused of shooting Daeja Craddick on September 25 at the intersection of Lucille Avenue and Lawton Street in southwest Atlanta. The victim was struck in the back, causing her to lose control of the vehicle while driving. After being shot, Craddick wrecked her Acura sedan.

Witnesses pulled the injured student out of her car and paramedics then rushed her to Grady Memorial Hospital.

Investigators later learned Craddick had a "brief encounter" with Burnett before the shooting. Detectives identified Burnett as the shooting suspect, and she eventually turned herself in.

Burnett was taken to the Fulton County Jail. She's been charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
