Apologetic robber strikes Gwinnett businesses
Police in Gwinnett County are investigating a string of armed robberies.
In each case, police said the robber told his victims he had no choice but to rob them because his daughter is sick.
Victim Kyoung Choe was working at One Stop Cleaners on Dogwood Road in Norcross. She said the man came in asking for a job, but when she said she couldn’t hire him, he came back with a gun and stole $40.
Investigators said several hours later, the same man tried to rob the Little Caesar’s on Stone Mountain Highway. Police said the man raised his shirt to employees to show he had a gun, but he took off before he was able to get any cash.
Anyone with information is asked to call Gwinnett Police or Crime Stoppers.
