Annual health fair being held Saturday

JONESBORO, Ga. - It's time once again for Congressman David Scott's Health Fair.

It provides vital health screenings and information at no cost from the region's best healthcare providers and advocacy groups.

Wednesday morning, Rep. Scott appeared on Good Day Atlanta to talk about this year's event.

He brought along Dr. Yara Robertson who will help perform women's health exams during the event.

She said not only will they offer exams but they also plan to follow up with the women.

This year's event will take place this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mundy's Mill High School in Jonesboro.

They'll offer a variety of screenings including HIV, cholesterol, mental health, dental, and vision tests.
