Animal services rescues stray beagle it goes on to become border patrol dog

It was a high honor for a former stray dog and for the Atlanta area animal shelter that took him in.

Chipper the beagle went from living on the streets to becoming a member of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agriculture Canine Team.

Douglas County Animal Services rescued the pup in April of last year.

Soon after, border officials selected Chipper to join their team.
