Actor/director Curtis Snow in custody after standoff at Atlanta church

ATLANTA - We're learning more about the man who barricaded himself in an Atlanta church during a funeral for his grandfather. 

It happened at the Higher Ground Empowerment Center on Spencer Street on Saturday.

According to police, Curtis Ward was distraught and barricaded himself in the women's bathroom during the service. He was taken into custody without incident. 

We've learned Ward is the director and actor of the movie Snow on tha Bluff and went by the name Curtis Snow. 

A SWAT negotiator was able to get the Ward to surrender just before 6:30 p.m., roughly three hours after the standoff began. No one was injured.

Police are not releasing any additional information, but the church's pastor said Ward was the grandson of the deceased.
