Activists demanding action in Anthony Hill case

Activists are demanding action in the police shooting death of an unarmed Air Force veteran. It has been more than a year since Anthony Hill was killed. Witnesses said he was naked and crazed when he was shot down by Officer Robert Olsen.

The fear among activists is with the current DeKalb County District Attorney having been voted out of office, the case will slow down even further.

Lt. Col. Amose King said he wants justice for Anthony Hill. In March of 2015, Hill was running around his apartment complex naked. He ran towards Officer Olsen who ended up shooting and killing Hill. King said Hill clearly had a problem.

“Mr. Hill was not a thug. He was a good citizen and he deserved better,” said King.

It took nearly a year before Olsen was indicted on the charges. In four months, a new DA will take over and supporters fear the new DA and assistants in the case will not be up to speed on the case or make it a priority.

“You want your ace in a case like this. This is one of the most blatant cases in the U.S., so we want to make sure we get the right person trying this,” said King.

And they fear time is running out.

“There's other cases in the U.S. that came after this case and they've already been tried. Yeah, politics is part of the problem,” said King
