A Few Flurries May Fly in North Ga. Mountains This Weekend
ATLANTA - A cold front that will sweep rain and possible thunderstorms through north Georgia Saturday night will usher in blustery, colder air on Sunday.
While the vast majority of the FOX 5 Atlanta viewing area will be drying out Sunday, lingering clouds and some wrap around moisture could support some snow flurries or light snow showers across far north Georgia during the day Sunday.
Any accumulations beyond a dusting on the grass in the highest elevations are not expected.
It is worth noting that an old forecast from last year with a Winter Storm Warning has been circulated online this week and is being passed off as a forecast for this weekend.
Be aware: there is NO weather storm warning, watch, advisory or otherwise in effect. Any flurries that can fall Sunday will end during the day as drier air and clear skies take over for several days going into next week.
