8-year-old girl, woman shot in DeKalb County

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - DeKalb County police are investigating a double shooting involving a child.

What we know:

Police were called to a home on Panthersville Road where an 8-year-old girl was shot in the ankle and a 24-year-old was shot in the leg and stomach. It happened at 10:05 p.m. on Saturday. 

Both victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

Police believe the victims did not know the shooters.

What we don't know:

There has been no word on the identities of the shooters yet, nor a motive.
