What they're saying:
"There is no excuse for DUI. Period. With the advent of Uber, Lyft market still runs. Taxis are still out. Friends and family that people can call to give them rides when they've been drinking or feel as though they've been drinking too much. There's no excuse for DUI. There's plenty of ways to not do that," said Sgt. Michael Cheek with Dunwoody Police Department.
"I'm a father myself and my heart breaks for that little girl's mother," Cheek said. "You know, we see a lot of things. And I do think we do get pretty tough on some things, but it's always difficult when kids are involved."
What's next:
Police are still investigating the crime.
The name of the victim will likely not be released since she was a minor.
