4 ways to chip away at costly holiday airfare
ATLANTA - We get it. It's barely November. But, if you're flying anywhere for the holidays, it's time to think about booking that flight.
If you're flying home for the holidays, that will be your biggest expense for the season. So, if you want to cut that price, you have to strategize about when to buy your tickets.
Let's say you're headed to Richmond, Virginia December 21 then back home the day after Christmas. I checked this flight last Thursday and found the cheapest one at $300. You might be able to handle one of those tickets, but now you're taking your spouse and the two kids. So, we're talking about $1,200. Ouch.
