2 juveniles caught after fleeing from DeKalb County officers in stolen car, police say

Two juveniles are in custody after police say they were caught with a stolen vehicle in DeKalb County.

Investigators say the pair are responsible for multiple entering auto and vehicle thefts around metro Atlanta.

What we know:

Authorities say on Monday night, officers were patrolling near Parklake Drive and Lavista Road when they received a notification of a stolen vehicle in the area.

The officers later spotted the vehicle entering a nearby apartment complex.

According to officials, the two juveniles tried to escape officers, hitting the patrol car and other vehicles in their attempt.

After trying to get away on foot, the two were apprehended.

What we don't know:

Investigators have not identified the juveniles or said what charges they will be facing.

"Please keep your belongings secure and car doors locked," the DeKalb County Police Department wrote on Facebook. "Together we can keep DeKalb County safe!"
