2 men found dead in driveway

Atlanta Police Department investigators are trying to piece together what led to a shooting that left two men dead in South Atlanta. Neighbors tell FOX 5 they're still reeling from the violence.

Two people are dead after an overnight shooting at a home on Browns Mill Road SE in southeast Atlanta, according to Atlanta police.

It reportedly happened around 12:30 a.m.

Neighbors living near the home say the gunfire woke them up in the middle of the night.

"Just heard gunshots and kind of woke up," next door neighbor Tony Jefferson told FOX 5. "After that, we looked out of the door and we just saw police out here and everything," Jefferson said.

Even though Sean Castellow lives a block away, he couldn’t help but notice the gunshots, too.

"Last night it was in rapid succession, and it was like about six or seven gunshots," Castellow said.

Police say the incident was possibly a robbery or home invasion. One of the deceased is the homeowner, and the other may be the thief. Both died from multiple gunshot wounds.

Police are looking for other possible suspects.

The deceased have not been identified yet, but police say they were both men in their 30s.
