2 charged after thousands of pills seized in investigation

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Two convicted felons have been charged after police say they seized thousands of prescription pain pills following a drug investigation.

News outlets report Metro Nashville police say 41-year-old Ronald Floyd and 45-year-old Eric Kwiatkowski Sr. were arrested for their involvement in a pain medication sales operation.

Investigators say they seized more than 3,000 high-potency prescription pain pills, 10 guns, a vehicle and nearly $20,000 in cash during searches at the suspects' residences. Three of those firearms were reported stolen.

Police say both men were previously convicted of drug and other charges.

Floyd is charged with engaging in a pain medication distribution conspiracy, among other gun charges.

Kwiatkowski is charged with conspiracy to distribute pain pills.

It's unclear if they have attorneys.
