16-year-old North Forsyth High School student with gun arrested Friday morning
FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. - A 16-year-old student at North Forsyth High School was arrested this morning after School Resource Deputies received a tip about possible narcotics activity near a barn adjacent to the school’s softball field, according to Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies, along with school administrators, located the student and conducted a search of the individual and their vehicle. During the search, administrators discovered alcohol, vape cartridges, and a loaded handgun in the glovebox of the student’s car.
The student was arrested and charged with Possession of a Weapon within a School Safety Zone and Underage Possession of Alcohol. They have been transported to Juvenile Court for a hearing.
Authorities confirmed that no threats were made to students or staff during the incident. The situation remains under investigation.
