12-year old killed in Thanksgiving Day crash on I-285

ATLANTA, Ga - The Georgia State Patrol Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team worked a crash at the request of Doraville Police Department when they received a call on Thanksgiving.

The crash occurred on I-285 East Bound at Buford Highway.  It involved six vehicles and required the interstate to be closed for approximately three hours. Initial indication is that all vehicles were traveling eastbound on I-285 at Buford Highway. 

As a result of the crash, there was one fatality (a passenger in the minivan), and six injuries. The fatality has been identified as 12-year Allison Beasley.

This crash is still under investigation. Charges are pending.
