Tennis greats return to Atlantic Station for BB&T Atlanta Open

Can he make it lucky number six?  That’s the question tennis fans are asking right now as five-time BB&T Atlanta Open champ John Isner returns to Atlantic Station for this year’s highly-anticipated tournament.

The BB&T Atlanta Open continues at Atlantic Station through July 28th, presenting some of the biggest stars in tennis as they kick-off (or should we say, serve up?) their journey to this year’s US Open.  Although the physical location of Atlantic Station hasn’t changed, the tournament venue itself has, and organizers say fans will immediately notice that it’s cooler (and we mean that literally, we more shade and air conditioning) and closer to the action.  Speaking of space, total grandstand and court seating capacity this year is 3,506 – and fans will find a long list of activities accompanying the on-court action including autograph sessions and themed-nights (Wednesday, for example, is Wine Down Wednesday and Thursday is Ladies Day Out).

The Good Day feature team never misses a chance to practice our serves and volleys on the court – so we spent the morning at Atlantic Station checking out the new venue and getting a preview of the action for the rest of the week.  Oh, and did we mention we got to play a little tennis with Austin Krajicek?  Click the video player above to see more!
