Admit it -- you've dreamed of being a rock star.  You've cranked up the radio in the car, or held up the hair brush as a microphone, and belted out a power ballad or two.  Well, if you're really brave, there's a place where you can take that act to the stage, complete with a live band and cheering audience.

Dark Horse Tavern in Virginia-Highland offers Metalsome Karaoke on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at its 10 High venue from 10:30 p.m. until 3 a.m.  Doors open each night at 9 p.m., and a live band accompanies singers on heavy metal classics from Metallica to Poison.  Meanwhile, the venue also offers Soul Karaoke on Wednesdays from 10:30 until 3, offering singers the chance to take on R&B and soul favorites.

Along with 10 High, Dark Horse Tavern recently added The Wax Attic, billed as a "vinyl listening lounge," where bartenders take requests to place songs from a large collection of vinyl records.

Good Day Atlanta's Paul Milliken never turns down the chance to sing on live TV, and spent the morning checking out the action at Dark Horse Tavern.
