Ponce City Market brings Mardi Gras to the Roof

It's probably too late to book a trip to the French Quarter for Mardi Gras, but lucky us — the next best thing may be happening right here in Atlanta.

Starting Friday, The Roof at Ponce City Market is hosting a weekend-long party dedicated to Mardi Gras, transforming the space into a New Orleans-meets-Atlanta celebration of fun, food, and good music.  Scheduled events throughout the weekend include a Carnival-themed costume contest, live music, and a Crawfish Boil happening Saturday.

The Roof’s trio of bars — Sideshow, RFD Social, and 9 Mile Station — will all be pouring specialty cocktails (yes, that means Hurricanes!), and there will even be a float, providing a perfect spot for selfies!

Mardi Gras on the Roof is happening Friday, March 1st through Sunday, March 3rd, and admission for adults and children is $15.  Tickets for the Crawfish Boil cost an additional fee, and are available online.

Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken is never one to miss a Mardi Gras party — and since the station wouldn’t spring for a ticket to Louisiana, he spent the morning partying with some new friends on Ponce City Roof!
