Massive Atlanta-area haunted house moves to new location

After a long and successful run just off of I-85 in Norcross, famed Halloween haunt NETHERWORLD has moved its ghouls and goblins to a brand-new location.

More than two decades after it first opened to Metro Atlanta thrill-seekers, NETHERWORLD Haunted House debuted in its new Stone Mountain home earlier this month.  The self-guided haunted house has already built up a reputation as one of the most popular in the country, topping “haunt” lists nearly every year and drawing huge crowds through the Halloween season.

With the new location, NETHERWORLD features a pair of walk-through attractions: The Awakened and SUBJECT: Unknown.  The Awakened includes a journey to the town of Whyshburg – which is not exactly tourist-friendly – while Subject: UNKNOWN brings alien autopsies to grisly life.  Visitors to NETHERWORLD Haunted House can also check out the attraction’s escape games, monster museum, and gift shop.

The new NETHERWORLD Haunted House is located at 2076 West Park Place Boulevard in Stone Mountain, and it’s open nightly through November 4th.

Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken spent the morning checking out the haunt’s new location, getting a first-hand look inside and (unfortunately) an up-close look at the monsters that call NETHERWORLD home!
