JapanFest2016 returns to Infinite Energy Center

The music, dance, fashion, and artistry of Japan are causing a major “cool”-down in North Georgia this weekend, thanks to JapanFest at the Infinite Energy Center.

JapanFest 2016 is happening September 17-18, and is a weekend long celebration of Japanese culture.  This year’s theme is “Cooler Japan” and puts the spotlight on five different areas: tradition, fashion, music, technology, and anime.  For the first time in Atlanta, JapanFest will present Kabuki theatre, which is a traditional form of theatre blending music, dance, and costumes.  Also new this year is the Kimono Fashion Show, which will feature creative takes on the classic look.  Oh, and did we mention there’s a Pokemon Go! meetup happening?  Admission to JapanFest is ten dollars, and it’s open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken spent the morning at the Infinite Energy Center, getting a preview of this exciting event.
