Holiday Themed Cupcake Ideas From Georgetown Cupcake

ATLANTA - Cupcake reality queens Sophie LaMontagne and Katherine Kallinis owners of Georgetown Cupcake stop by Good Day Atlanta with expert tips for holiday themed cupcakes. 

The sibling duo talked about new festive ideas like Reindeer Munch Crunch, Eggnog, and Gingerbread flavored cupcakes.  One tip demonstrates how to core out chocolate cupcakes using an apple corer and stuffing the inside of the cupcake with a chocolate peppermint ganache.   Another tip--when making Egg Nog Cupcakes you can substitute milk in your chocolate cupcake recipe with eggnog or adding a little rum or non-alcoholic rum syrup to your vanilla frosting.  Adding a simple dusting of ground nutmeg on top and using holiday fondant decorations will add an extra holiday cheer. 

Besides talking about cupcakes,  the sisters shared a little weight-loss secret.  Noticeably thinner,  the sisters revealed to Good Day anchor Karen Graham that they have lost a combined weight of 100 pounds.  Their secret?  Walking six miles a day.  They say the weight simply just fell off.
