Good Day Atlanta Viewer Information Story April 18, 2016

Burger With Buck: This week Buck Lanford is celebrating a different burger each day and instead of going out in the field to find a new burger he is trying five different burgers all week long in studio.    Kicking things off is Publik Draft House with the BBQ and Brie Burger topped with Vidalia Onion and Bacon Jam.  For more information see below.

See Vidalia and Bacon Jam recipe right here:

3 cups of Vidalia onions, sliced

2 sprigs thyme

1 stick of butter

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar

3 strips smoked bacon

Brown the bacon in the skillet and set aside.

Leave fat in the pan and add butter.  Reduce heat to low and add the onions and thyme.

Once onions are translucent, add brown sugar and apple cider.  Chop the bacon and add to the pan.

Cook on low heat until it has a jam-like consistency.

Add salt and pepper to taste.

Move It Monday: Double Dutch Aerobics:  When you were a kid playing double dutch with jump ropes, you probably had no idea you were getting an aerobic workout.  But the founders of Double Dutch Aerobics say it’s a great way to get in shape – and to have some fun, too.

Double Dutch World Champion Michelle Clark and her husband Sean created Double Dutch Aerobics, which uses aerobic exercises including jumping jacks and push-ups along with jump ropes.  If it sounds intimidating, Clark says she can teach anyone to double dutch in less than one minute.  And to see if she’s right, we presented her with her greatest challenge yet – Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken!

He spend the morning at the Dance 411 Studios at 475 Moreland Avenue SE in Atlanta, for a lesson in Double Dutch Aerobics!
