April is National Lineman Appreciation Month, honoring the work done by the men and women trained to keep electricity flowing around the clock.  As part of the campaign, Georgia Power's 2017 Thank a Lineman initiative allows customers to sign a digital "thank you" card (located here), giving people a chance to acknowledge the men and women who respond to power outages across the state.  Here in Georgia, many line workers begin their career at a massive Georgia Power training center in Lithonia, where they learn to operate bucket tricks, climb power poles, and work with transformers using a tool called a "hot stick."

Good Day Atlanta's Paul Milliken got a chance to check out the Lithonia training center, and even received a little training himself.
