Fairy Houses bring enchantment to Atlanta area nature center

Roswell’s Chattahoochee Nature Center is already an enchanting place, filled with vibrant flowers and Georgia’s native wildlife.  But for the next two weeks, visitors there will find a little extra magic…but only if they look really, really closely.

The Chattahoochee Nature Center’s Enchanted Woodland Trail Exhibit continues through February 28th, lining one of the property’s woodland trails with 30 tiny Fairy Houses and Gnome Homes.  Each of the miniature dwellings was created by a local artist or center staffer, and incorporates natural materials to help create a link between the homes and their surroundings.

Exploring the magical domains is free with the price of admission to the CNC, which is $10 for adults, $7 for seniors and students, and $ for kids.  Nature Center hours are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Mondays through Saturdays, and Noon to 5:00 p.m. on Sundays.

Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken spent some time at the Chattahoochee Nature Center, exploring the trails and doing his best to spot the enchanting Fairy Houses and Gnome Homes hidden along the way.
