Chase away those post-Christmas blues at Snow Mountain

Christmas and New Year’s Day have come and gone, but the kids are still out of school and looking for something fun to do.  That’s where one of North Georgia’s most exciting seasonal attractions comes in…or, we should say, slides in.

Snow Mountain at Stone Mountain Park continues through February 26, 2017, bringing actual snow to the family fun park, along with several slick lanes for thrill-seekers to tube down at high speeds.  Snow Mountain takes over “Laser Lawn” each year, covering it with several inches of real snow created by park staff.  Visitors 36 inches or taller can slide down Avalanche Alley, which features larger family-sized tubes, while “big kids” 42 inches or taller can race their friends in a single tube.  Along with tubing, Snow Mountain features a Snow Zone in which younger children can play.

Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken is a Snow Mountain veteran, and never misses a chance to race photojournalist Blaze Meier on live TV.  He spent the morning there checking it out (and doing a little trash-talking!).
