Annual 'treasure' hunt moves to new Sandy Springs location

It’s an event that bargain-hunters wait all year for, and right now, volunteers from the Sandy Springs Society are busy preparing a new location for what they’re hoping is their biggest haul of treasures ever!

Tossed Out Treasures returns to Sandy Springs this Friday, February 23 and Saturday, February 24 at a new location, the former Ray’s Rio Bravo at 6450 Powers Ferry Rd NW.  The event is the longest-running fundraiser for the Society, which is made up of Sandy Springs women who support local organizations dedicated to social services, the arts, heritage, education, and the environment.  Tossed Out Treasures is a massive sale focusing on gently-used, upscale items ranging from clothes to jewelry and housewares to furniture.  All money raised during Tossed Out Treasures is donated to local organizations in Sandy Springs, and leftover items are also donated to charities.  Although the sale doesn’t open until Friday morning at 10 a.m., early birds can shop starting at 8 a.m. for just $10 at the door.

Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken is a Tossed Out Treasures pro, having visited the past few years and found some incredible bargains.  He spent the morning getting an extra-special preview of this year’s fundraiser, giving viewers the very first look at what’s inside!
