ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Before the Atlanta United take the pitch to battle the Portland Timbers in the MLS Cup Final, supporters will get to hear a 7-year-old singer belt out her rendition of the national anthem.
Malea Emma, burst into the national spotlight after she won a contest that gave her to the opportunity to perform the national anthem at a Los Angeles FC match earlier this year. Her performance went viral and ever since then she has been traveling the country, to share her amazing gift.
She's even caught the attention of NBA superstar LeBron James when she brought the house down during a Los Angeles Lakers game in November. James could be seen applauding Malea.
Malea stopped by Good Day Atlanta to talk about how she's getting ready to sing in front of her biggest crowd so far.
Malea lives in Los Angeles, California with her family. She's said previously that one of her biggest dream is to be able to sing at a Super Bowl. Of course, Super Bowl LIII will kickoff from downtown Atlanta inside of Mercedes-Benz stadium on February 3, 2019.
The MLS Cup Final takes place on December 8 at 8 p.m. and you can watch it live on FOX 5.
