It may be because of the pollen. According to Atlanta Allergy & Asthma's daily pollen report, Wednesday's pollen count is 4,667 – the highest pollen count for the year so far. Tree pollen is also in the "extremely high" range.

This marks two weeks of counts that were either high or extremely high, the group says.

The main tree pollens contributing to you running to the nearest store for tissues are oak, pine, sweetgum, mulberry, and sycamore, they said.

The pollen count is the highest since April 9, 2015, when the count was 6,152. It's the sixth highest day for pollen in the last 10 years for Atlanta.
